We miss serving our patients and interacting on a daily basis. At this point, our scheduled reopening date is Monday April 13. This week, we will learn if that date is possible.
Here’s what our office does to keep you safe:
Location: Besides being in a lower risk area, away from large medical centers, there are extractor fans already built into the ceilings of three of our treatment rooms. We will use these rooms exclusively while there is still virus in our community. Medical masks are worn constantly. Patients who are not having a treatment on the face will also be given a mask to wear. Since the Covid-19 virus is contained in saliva, we won’t be doing any dental blocks for our procedures. For your comfort, we have compounded topical anesthetic to use instead.
We allow one patient to enter the building at a time. Our “waiting room” is the parking lot. At any given time, maximum two treatment rooms are in use in our huge office. Full sanitization with medical grade disinfectants of the treatment table, door handles, surfaces, restrooms is done after each use.
Dr. Howlin’s sister, Dr. Marie Fluent, a dental infection expert who lectures on the Covid-19 virus, has evaluated our facility, procedures, personal protective equipment and advised us on the latest strategies to keep our patients and staff safe. Additionally, a patient of ours has a family member who works for Dr. Fauci. He’s also aware of our mask use in aesthetic medicine.
See you soon! Stay safe and Happy Easter.
