microneedling

WHAT IS MICRO - NEEDLING?

A medically engineered device that utilizes 12 surgical grade micro needles to deliver effective skin needling. The treatment incorporates vertical oscillation technology to trigger the skin’s natural healing response. Multiple treatments provide long lasting rejuvenation and correction for the face and body.

HOW DOES MICRO - NEEDLING WORK?

It stimulates the skin’s healing response encouraging the production of precious growth factors, collagen and elastin for a naturally rejuvenated, revitalized and regenerated skin

HOW DOES MICRO - NEEDLING COMPARE TO OTHER METHODS OF SKIN REJUVENATION?

Micro-needling produces a non-thermal and minimally ablative treatment that can be performed on all skin tones reducing the risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or
fibrotic scar tissue

IS THE TREATMENT SAFE?

Yes. All treatment needles are single-use and sterile.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results typically may be seen after just one treatment, however cumulative treatments may be required to achieve the full desired results. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months post-treatment.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

Localized swelling may last up to 2 days post treatment. Make-up may be used 24 hours post procedure to reduce visible redness. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after a micro-needling treatment.

WHAT CONDITIONS CAN A MICRO - NEEDLING PROCEDURE TREAT?

Micro-Needling is able to treat various conditions, such as aging, wrinkles, dilated pores, milia, scarring and more.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I REQUIRE?

Generalized rejuvenation can be achieved in as little as three treatments. Conditions such as scarring may require a minimum of 5 sessions. Depending on the condition being targeted, treatments are performed on average 4 weeks, with maintenance treatments every six months.

Chemical Peels

A phenol or TCA peel can result in tingling or throbbing, reddened skin, a crust or scab, and significant swelling that lasts, depending on the strength of the peel used, about a week. With a phenol peel, eyes may be swollen shut at first, and the patient may be put on a liquid diet and advised to keep talking to a minimum. Any tape used is removed after a day or two. AHA peels can cause temporary stinging, redness and irritation, as well as flaking or crusting. After a chemical peel, it is essential that the skin be protected from the sun.

Glycolic Peels (30%,50%,70%)

During the glycolic peel process, the skin sheds dead cells revealing a smoother, moister, and fresher skin surface. A Glycolic Peel stimulates your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. It also loosens built-up oil and dirt in the pores, thus reducing the development of pimples and blemishes while minimizing the appearance of the pores. Our peels are available in varying strengths of glycolic acid, an all-natural substance derived from sugar cane, which will be formulated to help you achieve the results you desire.

Mandelic Acid Peels

This is a favorite at Chelsea Laser and Aesthetics. It is derived from almonds, a gentle peel that tightens pores while it exfoliates. It especially makes the skin glow in a healthy way. Patients enjoy this peel just before an important event in order to look fresh and healthy.

Peppermint Peels

A practice favorite from Copenhagen, Denmark. There is a mild peppermint peel and an intense peppermint peel. Patients tell us how relaxing and soothing this treatment makes them feel.

PMP Peppermint Peel Mild is the softer of the two innovative chemical peels. It has been formulated at a lower strength to penetrate more superficial than PMP Intense, which makes it useful for reducing pigmentations, fine lines and enlarged pores. It is a revitalizing skincare treatment that effectively treats chrono-aged and photo-aged skin by removing aging cells and stimulating new cell growth. Peppermint Peel Mild is made from a combination of 5 different acids including 11% TCA, 6 moisturizers, and peptides with immediate effects. Furthermore, the non-toxic chemical peels contains menthol, which cools the skin during the process and provides optimal comfort during the treatment. There is no pain or downtime.
