Levulan is a natural serum that is applied to the skin before light treatment with IPL. It is used to heal acne, actinic keratoses (pre cancers) or to get a stronger IPL. Europeans also use it for basal cell carcinoma treatment. Typically, it is used in a series of 4-6 treatments that are spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
Experimental use is for hair regeneration in men or white hair removal.
