Laser Vein Treatment
We offer 1064 yag laser treatment of smaller leg veins, facial veins and cherry red spots. Treatment is permanent and a nice adjunct to sclerotherapy when used on legs. Advantages are that no support stockings are necessary and thus it’s cooler in summer months. Disadvantages are that it cannot be done with tanned skin due to risk of burn of injury.
Treatment feels like a rubber band snap with each laser pulse. We use ice before and after to minimize discomfort. People have been pleased with the consistent outcome. Generally small to medium veins can be treated (Large varicose veins need to be treated by a surgeon with endovenous ablation). When veins are treated with the yag laser, they can take 1-2 months to dissolve. In the meantime, they look faded and gray.
Cost is $175 per 15 minutes of treatment time.
